What to know before you sign up

Group sizeAll departures are capped at twelve travelers. This keeps homestays intimate, wildlife viewing respectful, and trail pacing manageable for everyone.

Fitness ratingEach itinerary lists a difficulty level from easy to demanding. Coastal routes are mostly moderate; highland trails and island chains may require six to eight hours of walking on uneven ground.

Seasonal departuresDepartures follow local weather windows. The Amalfi coast runs spring and early autumn, the Scottish highlands from May to September, and the Azores from June to October. Dates shift if conditions are unsafe.

Included logisticsPermits, internal transport, homestay meals, and a local guide are included in the listed price. Flights to the starting point, travel insurance, and personal gear are not.

Booking and changesA deposit confirms your place, with the balance due six weeks before departure. If you need to move dates, we allow one free transfer up to thirty days prior, subject to availability.

Responsible travelWe follow leave-no-trace practices and work only with hosts who meet our sustainability checklist. Wildlife encounters are always observational, never interactive, and guided by local biologists where available.
